Windscreen Quick fix creaky windscreen

After 4 years without the dreaded windscreen creak, it's finally reared it's ugly head. Didn't want to go down the route of putting the tape between the screen and cowling (although I'm sure that is a fantastic fix from all the comments on here). No... being lazy I tried my own (lazy man) fix. First of all I washed the windscreen including gently prising up the cowling and cleaning underneth. Then I just sprayed under the leading edge of the cowling with a small tin of 'Rubber and Nylon Lubricant'. Thats it, done! Been 1 week now and not a peep out of it so far. I'll let you all know how long this lazy version of the fix lasts before creak returns. If it's another 4 years I'll be well pleased.

I've done same with a silicone spray about 4 weeks ago. Get the occasional creek and think it will need to be sorted properly in the not to distant future.

2mm singled sided cushion tape ? acts as a cushion & not a single creak happy days
