Handbrake "loose" Handbrake

Is anyone elses handbrake a bit "loose" when it is not turned on? You can "push" it side to side and it moves a bit? Mine doesnt do it when the hand brake is on though. Just wondering is it normal?

Mine did do it when I got the car but I had the dealership fix it.

Mine moves a bit form side to side when it's not in use. I was wondering about this too.

Same here, about an inch of movement !!
Glad to here its a simple fix..

how has it been fixed? has the dealer tightend the handbrake cord or what?

because it never really caused me an actual problem, I've never got round to even mentioning it to a dlr

I was told it was "normal" and therefore could not be "fixed".....

Strangly I noticed this on my CTS yesterday...not overly bothered but might mention it to the dealer next time I am in there.
