Electrics Faulty Rear Heated Screen

I Noticed Yesterday In The Rear View Mirror That I Had About An Inch Of Condensation Which Had Not Cleared From My Rear Window, Yet The Rest Was All Clear. When I Got Out I Went To See If This Part Was Covered By The Heating Elemet, And There Was About 3 Or 4 Inchs Which Had Not Cleared And Was Within The Heating Element, But This Amout Cannot Be Seen From The Rear View Mirror.

I Tried It Again To Night And I Could Feel That The Rear Screen Was Warm After A Few Minutes But Was Cold On The Same Area Which I Had A Problem With Yesterday, So Is There Anyone Else With The Same Problem? Or Is This Going To Be A New Problem?

Its the same on my Honda Accord. My understanding is, that the area that looks like a heating element is actually the Radio Antenna.

Back in 1994 my new Peugeot had the same problem so the Dealer changed the window under warranty. They then realised it was the antenna element. Red faces all round.

I've had this confirmed at my local Honda Dealer - it is indeed the radio antennae - a common cause for concern of many Civic owners according to dealer...
