Handbrake handbrake losing colour!!

My handbrake grip is losing its colour and showing a white undercoat in alot of places!!!

Will be complaining to Honda about this. Well my dealer anyway.

Have the same thing going on with my gear-knob. I will complain about this at my next visit to my dealer. I wonder what Honda has to say 'bout this. That's poor design, IMHO. (Goes for handbreak, gear-knob, shiny dash-plastics and fabric on door handles.)

couple of others have had similar problems (though chipping not wearing)

I got a replacement gear knob under warranty - Its a different paint now - seeems tougher (so they obviously have identified this as an issue).
