Radio reception
Hi,
I've got a new Type S GT 2.2 i-CDTi. Has anyone got a fix for loss of radio reception when rear demister is turned on? It's becoming annoying. |

Sorry can't really help but Go and see your dealer think some other folk have had a similar problem - which seems strange

Left it with dealer for a day last week, with no improvement. I'll call them again on Monday. Absolutey loving car except for radio. Guess I'll have to get a cd multichanger.

This is much discussed in a previous thread, here's a summary as I see it.
It is a problem known to Honda and they are not likely to fix it retrospectively. The reception varies dependent on where you are geographically. IMO the aerial performs poorly in some areas. One member reported that fixing a poor connection in the aerial lead fixed it. There is a software update for earlier cars that improves the way RDS switches to an Alternate Frequency, but I think does not improve weak reception. Generally dealers have not been able to fix it. I don't have this problem, but if I did I would try to demonstate the fault at the dealers. If you can, then try it on one of the showroom cars and if that's the same, then it's not worth letting the dealer mess about with it. |
