Hi Diesel virgin
Sorry to participate in this post so late but I just joined the site in today.

After taking car delivery I didn't use my car on the motorway for a bit and didn't realise that the cruise control wasn't working. The dealer said they would require the car in twice: once for diagnosing the problem and other one for getting the part/s fixed. However it didn't need the second visit as they found and fixed the problem in the first go. I was told that on the pedal (gas) there is a switch which wasn't switched on (I took it as not configured properly).After this, the CC works without a problem.

It did make me wonder whether the pre-delivery check had included the CC.

I tought you had something there. The cruise was coming on if I played with the accelerator last night, but then today it made no difference. However it is something to mention to the Dealer next time I take it back to be fixed. On the postive side at least it works sometimes on the occasional journey, rather than not at all.

My CC was playing up today. I had used it several times on my journey, cancelled it and switched it off when I wasn't using it. Then switched the CC back on, light come up to tell me its on, get to the speed I want to be at, press 'set' nothing! press it again, nothing. Press it several more times like someone demented and suddenly it worked. Hmmmmmmm, I will have to keep any eye on this I think. No reason for it not to work too. I tried it again after cancelling it, switching it off and then back on and it worked fine. Hope this is not the start of a problem and just a little glitch
