Interesting....
Took my Civic into City Honda (Basingstoke) yesterday for a few bits and pieces - namely:
- Drivers door mirror (electric folding motor is buggered) - Petrol cap recall - Drivers side inside door handle recall - Look at damage to front grill caused by my wife reversing into it! The petrol cap was done while I waited and they have ordered a new door mirror (replaced under warranty) and door handle (though it works fine!). New front grill and brackets also ordered to be fitted by them - though there is a chance the whole bumper needs replacing, but they can't tell until the new grill is fitted (i.e. the bumper may have lost it's shape) - hopefully it will sit flush and that's the end of it!!!! Anyway - what was interesting was that when they handed my keys back to me, they asked me if my oil warning light had come on a few weeks ago. I said that it had, and topped my oil up straight away - even though I thought it was strange as the oil level was above the minimum mark on the dipstick, and I've only done 9000ish miles and topped up once already around 6000 miles. I then asked them why they were asking about the warning light, and they said that plugged my Civic in for a diagnostic which told them that the light had come on, and discovered my Civic was also due a software update - which they performed. Apparently the process behind the oil warning light was a bit too sensitive and this update solves this issue. Just thought I'd share my experience, and see if anyone knows about this oil warning issue - and if the latest software update includes anything else? |

Talking to myself here...
No difference in MPG as far as I can tell. No difference felt in anything really - just that I've had the VSA come on quite a bit the past few days but that's probably down to the weather!!! |

Hi Dave, sorry you are getting no replies, the only thing I can add is I have had mine 9 months and have not seen VSA lights once except when starting

no mention of any oil warning updates that I've heard of sorry!
(although I don't count it as a good day unless I see the VSA flash at least once |
