Delays with delivery????

I didn't have any problem with mine

I went to look at the dealers on Sunday 2nd November. I admit the dealer was trying to sell me a second-hand one or a new one that was in stock in the showroom, but I knew what I wanted and they didn't have it.

I then ordered (as long as he could come down to internet price) a 1.8 Ex in Black. Dealer said OK, the car would arive within 2 weeks.

3 days later (Wednesday), dealer phoned and said was in. They needed to prep it and sort out tax, and to pick it up Friday 9th November, which I did.

I have just changed the seat covers to leather (see my other thread) and found that the seats were built in July 07, which suggests the car, or at least the seats, have been sat around for a while.

I don't understand why some people have a long delay with delivery. Unless it's a Type R, which could well be a different matter.

depends what options everyone wants

and the cars are popular so when someone orders the car might not have
been built

you seem to be one of the lucky ones - either getting a cancelled order
or your dealer ordering extra as stock

Some of us have specified a particular choice and when you do that I understand that it takes time. In my case the delay is part my fault and part Honda. When I ordered my car I didn't want the car so soon and then when I added the options I wanted it meant that it would be a four to five month delay - so in a way my fault. Although I have to say the only option I chose was the beige interior which added to the delay!

I was in my local dealer on Tuesday looking at a Type R and they said they could get me one before christmas with Nav/HFT

Just a shame I wont get rid of my Accord company car until March

No just need to go back and place my order and start counting down till March

I think that's what's known as being in the right place at the right time.
