As far as I'm aware with the type R there is a slight difference with the floor plan, so the mats from an 07 won't fit an 08, and that's it. I don't know if it the same for your model.

I picked up the same model on Wednesday but no standard parking sensors. Sounds like I've been sold last year's model. It was ordered about three weeks ago and there was no mention of a new version actually being on sale or that the one I'd be getting was an off-the-shelf oldie. You reckon I've any comeback against the dealer?

The American model seems to have an aux socket standard on most models. Where did you see the advert stating aux socket, was it in an european advert?

I cannot understand why they don't include a simple aux socket in Europe, but it's probably because they listen to more music in the US. Maybe they simply don't want europeans with an ipod buying their cars - such modern stuff can get the car a bad reputation on the street.

depends on if you paid '07 or '08 prices...
the '08 EX gets parking sensors as standard, but also a circa £250 price hike.

which makes little or no sense, as the EX is about the only (5 door) model which you might not want the parking sensors on - if you went for the camera upgrade.
but such is Honda and their wierd and wonderful marketing decisions

Don't know what the book price was. I was given the price I'd to pay after various discounts. I did ask the salesman about the new 08 model and said I'd read on this site that it was to have parking sensors, but he claimed that was the first he'd heard of it. Sounds a bit iffy when Bazzert picked up his 08 EX just two weeks later.

Hi Bazzert. Out of interest, would you mind checking what Sat Nav database version you have please? Mine says it's 20060616 with a software version of 1.57.06. There's an awful lot of "06"s in there, suggesting it's last year's kit. If the 08 model is different, and I've been flogged a car that's been lying around for ages, I'll be putting my Mr Angry hat on very soon!
