I have a feeling the MMC will be much more of an FMC.

There's going to be some huge competition out there in '09. And in some areas, particularly suspension, rear visibility and semi-auto box, the Civic could be vulnerable.

The styling is still undeniably magic and I'm sure won't change too much. But if it turns out have unduly compromised comfort, convenience, reliability and performance, something will have to be done.

I think honda will do it. And in 2009.

I scoured google and found a concept drawing for the 2009 model!!!!

Click the image to open in full size.

Looking forward to seeing the new Golf , and the Audi A1 (although that's classed as a supermini and I guess will be smaller than the civic)

As if, Dalboy.

But back to topic. I'm sure Brenda Priddy will have some taped-up monstrosity of a test bed version to show soon.

But if, as I believe, the changes are going to be substantial, it may be some time before we get a real idea.

Not yet, I think, Czechplastik. Not even Brenda Priddy spy shots of testing. Honda have always been good at keeping new models quiet.

I'll keep looking though.

Hi all,

Regarding the mid-life facelift, does anyone happen to know if they will replace the*83*hp 1.4 i DSi engine by the new 100hp 1.3 i VTEC engine that comes in the new 2008 Fit/Jazz? **(I am asking the question, as I consider buying a Civic next year.)

I would think it would be more likely they would replace it with the
1.5 i-vtec if they replace it at all - they may just keep the same engine

It is far far to early to speculate on such changes you just need to hang on

It's possible but a case of wait and see.

Diesel power is what you should be interested in though!
