Not sure if the 16" wheels will go round the brake extenders and amending anything like that will be a real insurance hot potato!!!

Whats the seat trim in the EX? I didnt realise there was a difference?! I know you can choose the colour (beige or dark) but the brochures only showed two upholstery choices (suedey fabric thing and leather??)

You could be right. Going up in size is certainly no problem. Coming down could well be.

Stay with the 17'' and put up with the ride, or plump for the ES and miss out on the goodies, I suppose is all you're left with.

Shame.

The Ex in Slovenia is:
Glass roof + HID + Satnav + leather + heated seets...

It was 3k € more than 1.8 sport. And I did not go for it .... stupid me.

I was told the EX trim was that suedey stuff. I just didn't like it at all and felt it would rub smooth before too long.

The ES I test drove was in a nice sporty-looking dark-check with that suede stuff as the seat trim. It would have been much better IMO if the whole seat had been in the cloth check, or, better still, a few inches of leather around the edges to finish it off. I must say I'm delighted with the full leather seats - they look great, although obviously they whack up the price.

To be honest, if my budget hadn't been able to stretch to the leather, I would probably have walked away from the EX, and gone for the ES instead, or even a different car altogether, that's how much I didn't like that suede stuff.

I was going to go for an EX with Glass Roof / Leather but would have extended the waiting time by another 4 Months!! and on a plus side got 18" Storms instead! Think the EX is the best value for money of pretty much anything in it's class.
