No, it is a lightweight racing version of the non-GT base version.

Honda Sweden say:

Motorsport i Italien."

Which basically means:

The racing version weighs only 1352kg compared to 1372 for the standard R or 1402 for the GT.

I has no:
ICE, parcel shelf, centre compartment lid, rear inside handles (ceiling ones), inner grill, protective parts under suspension and engine, dynamic dampers in the suspension, sound insulation or lower cover parts in the interior.
This is the version for those who want to drive really fast and compromise comfort. Suspension is stiffer and you can also buy lots of parts from JAS.

The non-GT base version is mentioned on the Swedish website, but is not in the pricelist. They have sold a few though, we have one here on the forum with a bunch of ICE in it!

A 1.8 ES will cost you about 28000 euros here in Ireland including all taxes (VRT *spit* and VAT). Due to tax reforms announced at this year's budget, the VRT for this car will be going down a lot due to its low co2 emissions so it should be a good bit cheaper next year. I think a 1.4 SE costs about 24000.

This means that they will probably start selling the 2.2 ictdi here too, as its VRT (vehicle registration tax, bleh) will be going from 30% down to about 16% and its annual motor tax will be dropping from about 700 euros p.a. to about 150. Again because of its low CO2 emissions. Until now all of our motor taxation was purely CC-based.

Don't forget that it sounds like all pre July 2008 cars will be taxed at the old cc rate and not on emisions - nice of the government here to introduce a 2 tier road tax system. So even on a 2006/7 registered vtech you will be paying more road tax than one registerd on the 1st July 2008.
