First service - How much did you pay?
As topic says, how much did you pay for the first service after 10000 km ( 6000 miles )
The reason that I asking is that i had to pay about 200£ for the first service that they called "Green service" Only oil change has been done. When I bought the car the salesman said that first service was free...Going to call him tomorrow and ask him. |

Nothing; not for another 4 years. Paid £500 up front.
It felt really good picking the car up after the first service. Tony |

My 1st service on my 2.2 was £175 including valet... well, I say valet but more like a wipe over the outside & a quick hoover of the carpets. My Storms were still grubby & the seats & dash had been left untouched.
If your dealer included any free services in the purchase deal there would surely have been some sort of paperwork (receipt) mentioning this? |

I was pissed off when I had to pay £300 for a second service, but this seems in line with what autoexpress says you should pay see:
Ford Focus vs Honda Civic | Car Group Tests | Car Reviews | Auto Express see 'facts and figures' on the right £195 / £300 / £215 is the estimated three year break down Last edited by sfboy; 11th December 2007 at 19:02. |

The Honda Happiness plan does seem like good value when you add up the cost of the services. Not as good when you compare it to the Mini TLC pack £150 for 5 years servicing. Still the Mini service intervals are 20 k and not time related. So at least with Honda you do get five services. |

Hi can anyone tell me when first service is due?. I was told that it was 12,000 mile, but was reading in the owners manual that the engine oil is to be changed at 6,250 miles(or 1 year), my car has just gone 6,000 so it would need a change of oil now, so can I just change the oil and filter myself (as I usally do using dealer parts) or do I have to leave it with the dealer to keep my waranty right. This is the first New car Ive had so I am a bit confused as what to do .

When you consider what they need to do on a one year old motor :
Oil Oil Filter Couple of other checks that Honda have presumably told the mechanics to do It's money for old rope If it wasn't for the warranty I'd do my own oil & filter change |

I get my Honda happiness for Xmas, but after what some folk have paid its an excellent idea. Just a shame that they don't offer it as standard for the 2.2 owners out there. I know that some have paid extra etc but you would think that they would treat all customers the same surely |

first service 12k miles was in the price and 25k miles was only 230ish thought was ok better than nearly 400 for major pug service.

Hi 12000km - first service is up. 1 Year old They told me: Norway is heavy dust, salty roads.... You cant change oil only. You need a big service. You have to pay 352,- Eur .... *** Not happy about that. Had several new Honda and newer had this expensive service before. When you say Green service.... is it a 6000km service? Thats what they told me. And i said the car needs that? Di dent get any response. They told me that only a oil-change is not what the car needs. Who is ordering or, telling what has to be done to the car on service, to cover warranty? Honda or the Dealer ? I was told this in Oslo. Honda, not happy. This really is making me... not buying another one. |

What is "severe driving conditions" ? What changed? Then why dident i have to do that to my other new Honda cars? Can the Honda-garage tell me what ever they want. I now i can go to another garage. But i called several Honda-dealers and they all have the same price.... |

Green service is a service that is taken when the car has gone 10000km or 6 months. They only change oil and filter at that service. If i had knew that I had to pay that much, I would have change the oil myself ( but haven't got it in the service book then...)

1st Service last Friday at 8000 miles. No charge as on the £500 5 year Honda deal. Went to Brighton Honda as they agreed to put in Castrol 0-30 Edge oil at no additional charge. They also changed the tyres round at my request albeit not in quite the sequence I asked. Also gave me a full litre of Edge for top ups. So very happy
