Impatience!

Hi All,

Was originally told by the dealer that i probably wouldn't get my civic before christmas. Then yesterday when I phoned them up about another matter they casually tell me that my car has arrived and will be with me within 5 days!

So now I've got to be patient while my nice shiny new car sits at the dealers. Wouldn't be half as bad, but the dealership is across the road from where I work. I can see it from my desk! Arrgghhh.

that is a pain, i had to wait 3 weeks to collect the car from the dealer cos the DVLA took their time with the private plate paperwork. although i didnt have to stare at it during that time!

Just think you will have all the Christmas holidays with quiet roads to drive around on.

I would try to hang on just a few more days and into the new year.

Technically, come the first of January your car will be a year old and will lose more when p/x comes into play.

I know how you feel a little bit. I got a phonecall last wednesday telling me that my car would be here the next week. Sorted all the docs and everything out for finance etc, and was told I could pick it up on Wednesday this week. Owing to a computer failure on tuesday and wednesday it meant that I couldn't collect it on Wednesday. Then owing to my committments today I can't collect it today, although I went to see it today and it looks fantastic.

So I am collecting it tomorrow morning!!!

What I wouldn't give to be picking it up tomorrow morning!

Feel like I'm six again waiting for Christmas.

Out of interest, how long does it normally take for the dealer to get the reg?

I believe each dealer normally has an allocated batch of reg numbers and the rest of the paperwork is now done on line with DVLC
