I wonder what happens to those folk with cars already on order?? It's of no help to them, or future prospective buyers, but I'm damned glad I purchased mine when I did!

I posted this in another thread, £200 odd for EX and £300 odd for ES. Strange there is a difference where I'm not aware of any spec changes.

It might just be the cost of metal on the world markets causing the price to rise, the company where I work manufacture mostly in 316L Stainless Steel, we have had it increase our prices this year on 3 occasions to keep up with the market price of steel to avoid losing money on it.

FYi, any orders before midnight 31/08/2006, the prices are remaining the same.
The civic sport has got fogs and leather wheel as standard for the 2007 model, which accounts for £100 extra |

I know that on Audis you normally get next years spec on cars built from about August - something similar with Honda? |

Perhaps they've put the price up, so purchasers can have a discount, and Hondas profit is unaffected . Or am I a cynic. Answers on a postcard.

Yes, it would be good to find out when the 2007 model year build starts, just in case they tweak any of the ECU mappings etc for next year's cars.
My car is going to be delivered at the start of October (just like those for our Finnish/Other European friends) so I don't know if that will be a 2006 build or 2007? |

TT,
You can order the cars now, though most seem to be for delivery really late on in the year, ordered one today, delivery to the dealership 31/11/2006 Saying that, Honda seem to be changing production if there are a bundle of orders |

cheers Martin - guess that makes sense from Honda point of view, and good news if your spec ends up being bundled
or bad news if you are the one bumped backwards ta very! |
