New Civic Trim Level - SE+
Found this article on Reuters.
Honda unveils a new Civic for the New Year Wed 2 Jan, 2008, 16:10 ![]() Honda has released a new version of the Civic for the start of 2008, which goes on sale from 2nd January. It is titled the SE+ and gets a range of exterior enhancements and equipment on top of the standard SE trim including 6-inch alloys, body-coloured skirts and spoiler. Honda says it has been designed with its younger customers in mind. Tom Gardner, head of Honda Marketing (UK) says, "The market has responded well to the new Civic, and the 5-door is drawing a younger audience than ever before, but customers wanted a higher spec, entry level model that looked even more sporting". The Civic SE+ is powered by Honda's 1.4-litre i-DSI engine, and prices start from £14,900. Original article here Reuters | Latest Financial News / Full News Coverage Rather amusing typo - apparently the SE+ comes with 6" wheels Found more spec information On top of the standard SE grade specifications, the new Honda Civic 1.4 i-DSI SE + includes:

Also maybe it appeals to "wealthy Dad" - who wants to buy a new car for his 18 year old son, so wants it to look nice but have a safe (weedy) engine in. And he also won't want a £2,000 insurance bill to add on top. I think VW started it with the Golf "Driver" in the 80's - it looked much like a GTi but had the cooking 1.6 in it. |

Your local dealer (or one of the ones on here) should be able to quote you a price. See these threads, Exhaust Triangle Trims and 1.4 Se They say £100 for part 06KIT SMG EXTFIN, plus £170 for delar fitting. Best check with a few dealers though. I have to say if I was 17 again and looking to buy a new car then I maybe would go for that, but not with 5 doors (6 years ago and sill today) its seen as uncool for young drivers to have 5 doors. 3 doors are the way to go. Good car for your mother

Why??????????????????????????????????????????? Your going to be a mother soon and you will be struggling like hell to get that baby in an out of the back. Only a young person would think it is uncool to be seen driving a five door! Personally I think all drivers should be given a limit as to what they drive from passing their test, starting with smallest of engines and gradually working their way up it would certainly save a few lives when those youngsters like to drive like total idiots in the "cool" cars and cant handle it. |

I agree Topcat, when i had the first baby (well my wife did the hard bit
But not all young people drive fast, they have the car as a status symbol to pose in, driving fast is the last thing they want to do - they wouldnt be seen then would they!!!! Back in my day when i was a youngster you couldnt really afford a fast car like these days, i had an old banger to drive around in |
