Angry How was the weather when you picked up your Civic?

I don't know if my question is related to buying and I hope I'm not going OT posting here but the fact is ... tomorrow I will finally pick my Milano Red 1.8 Sport up but the weather report announces rain all day and I am bothered by having my new car as dirty as rain as soon as I will come out of my dealer's box.

I would not fancy driving my new car in snow but i suppose you are used to it, thankfully we don't get much snow here

When I picked my car up it was snowing too! But the car performs so well it didn't make a difference - I still travelled about 300km that day!

Can't remember, I was so pleased about the car I didn't notice the weather.
Good luck with yours.

Congratulation...

One year ago the weather was sunny as always when I drive my car, even if it's raining outside

In fact it was pouring rain, so I do test the quality of the handling of the car under severe weather conditions, and it was a lot better than my old Peugeot 307 !

It was very sunny when I collected mine and it lasted for about ten days, which was unusual for the beginning of November.

It soon changed though.

Enjoy your new car though whatever the weather is like.

It was belting it down, which made me realise the need for a rear wiper!

Can I just point something out here - when you pick your car up you should go over it with a fine tooth comb an that will be extremely difficult to do if it is covered in rain water, if there are any marks or scratches on the paintwork or wheels you wont see them, I personally would postpone collection.

good point, but the car is in the dealer's workshop where I will have all the time to inspect my Civic and having with me my wife - who is a miniaturist - will assure a much better inspection than any tooth comb

I was praying it wasn't wet when I picked mine up for this very reason.

To be honest I would never have thought of this before but when I received my replacement car it was delivered to my house in the pouring rain, it continued to rain almost non stop for three days, when it stopped I found a three inch scratch high up on the rear of the car I had no idea how, when or where it came from, I had only done 12 miles in the car.

I have never picked up a new car, when it has been or is raining.
Them there rain drops can cover up all manner of faults on the bodywork.

Hi

When I picked up mine it was a sunny day, March 30 last year. It was very nice weather the following days as well. I remember the first times i washed it it was very, very easy. So it couldn't have been all to bad weather then...

I drove mines about 300 yards from the dealers and it started to rain but it became sunny again rather soon, then rained again. Just gave me and excuse to wash it on the Sunday (Picked it up on the Friday)

It was horrible the day I got mine (30th Nov '07) - absolutely chucked it down. Had a brown mud splattered car by the time I had got back from the dealers.
