Questions for new Civic
lo all. Future Civic es newbie here.
Have a couple of questions about ordering options, if anybody could help me out. Is there an option to add blades when purchasing? Or is just limited to the Type S? Is upgrading the alloys from stock considered as a mod on insurance? Cheers |

I thought you could only upgrade to Blades (18" only in the UK) if your model of Civic already came with 17" wheels - i.e. Sport/EX/Type S
Would be safer to tell your insurance company that the wheels are non-standard - it may not make any difference to the premium (depending on who your insured with) Oh, and welcome Bludot! Last edited by pjr; 16th January 2008 at 18:41. |

I might be wrong but as the ES comes with 16" wheels not sure you can get 17" Blades and you can only go up an inch on options I think (Happy to be told to get back in my box!)
Edit: Out of my box and happy |

Oops sorry.
Not up to speed on the UK models and options. Quite right you can only go up 1". So a car supplied with 16" can only upgrade to 17". Can you not get the 17" Blades in the UK? Wheels - Civinfo Wiki Last edited by FWH; 16th January 2008 at 18:46. |

Except, Honda Accessories Car and Motorcycle - Honda Access Europe NV does not show that 17" Blades are available in the UK, as pjr said below. Sedici, Penta, Technic and Dynamic 17" wheels are available. In Sweden, 17" Blades are available, part number for one alloy (no tire) 08W17-SMG-600G, part number for a set of wheels 08W77-SMG-600G. Check with your dealer if they can get those part numbers. Last edited by FWH; 16th January 2008 at 20:37. |
