Got It Today

O.K its only a 1400 but its what I wanted everything seems fine, its black.
the only strange thing was driving it home and taking the dash in/ all the cars I have driven over the years you just get in and drive, but the CIVIC you seem to be getting lots of imfo from the dash I think its great but just needs getting used to--------- my only slight gripe is THE LACK OF SPARE WHEEL we drive to the south of france every year so I would like
a full sized spare.

Sounds great, I think it will be a great car to drive to the south of France in, good luck.

Glad you like it
Smaller engined cars can be a lot of fun to drive as they take more skill to drive quickly. You will also be happy on how few trips you have to make to the petrol station !

Definetly agree with you on the need for a spare !

Spare wheels are a dying breed , not many new cars have one

Congratulations and enjoy !

I pick up my NHB 1.8 ES in 4 days time ! I know what you mean about the info, on my test drive I had a hard job looking at the road ahead, there was so much to look at right there in front of me. As you say, I am sure we will get used to it soon enough

I hope you enjoy it, I would definately invest in a spare wheel when you cover those kind of miles that repair can is very messy and will then necessitate the need of a new tyre anyway.

What do you think of run-flat tyres? Haven't got them but when mine are down...

The dash and general ergonomics are very well done, and a great feature of the Civic.

Having had a space save on a previous Honda Accord, which I used 3 times in over 80,000 miles, they are not ideal, but do work very adequately to get you to a convenient place for a proper repair. I have bought the space saver, and would not be without a spare of some sort.

My previous Civic had a smaller 'normal' tyre, which again I had to use (twice in 30,000 miles) and I don't think the gunge would have worked on either of those occasions, as both punctures caused considerable carcass damage requiring a new tyre.

Well, gratu!
You can always lay a spare down in the boot. There's a special room for this.

Congrats on the new car. The dash is superb and will take some getting used to,but there is nothing else like it on the road. Space saver spare wheel is something I ordered for my Civic ( six weeks still to wait until I get it ). I have past experience with the can of goo!!, It may possibly reinflate a small screw type puncture, but wrecks the tyre in the process. Enjoy the car, can't wait for mine
