Has bought from a broker or got a dealer to match?

Hi all,

has anyone bought from a broker for their civic? if so any problems?

i.e. Buyacar | Buy a discounted UK new car, import or cheap nearly new cars etc

or has anyone got a honda dealer to match the price of a broker? i am particulary intersted in any dealers that have done this in scotland!

Hi Robbieee,

I bought my TypeS 2.2D from DrivetheDeal and no Honda dealer could match it for discount.

The whole experience was super smooth, the car was delived on time and i would recommend it to anyone.
Just remember you don't get the dealer interaction that so many people seem to need, and there's no trade-in.

I've just entered details for a quote on DrivetheDeal, it came out a few hundred more than I paid at a dealer. I know I bought just over two months ago, have prices gone up considerably in that time.

The broker could probably match - but then he would add his provision

Very nearly, the dealer did make a loss on the deal.

Are you sure that these cars are nt imports from other europern countries? What they sometimes do is to import these cars from say Greece, they are originally made here then exported to these countries, and imported back to britain. The brokers save money by not paying out on all the tax that we have here!

Not true. They can lose on the sale price of a car but gain on the sales bonus from Honda for hitting targets. You just need to find the right dealer(one close to hitting his targets) and the right time ( a couple of days before the end of a sales quarter even better if it happens to be the end of the busiest month for registering new cars) be prepared to deal on the spot and hold your nerve.

I only got £200 off my CTR, the dealer would nt really do much as there was a 5 months waiting list.
