silver or orange?
Oh dear. I had decided to order my new SE with Leather in Champagne Silver. Today we drove past a local dealer and there was an Orange one sitting on the lot. I was surprised at how much I liked it - really looks good and is more golden than orange I thought. So now I have a problem - do I want to blend in and order the Champ Silver or do I want to risk standing out in the crowd and get the orange?
What sort of reaction do any owners here get from the Orange? |

I think that the Orange implies :-- "I'm on my way".
The Champagne Silver :-- "Ive been there, seen it and worn the T shirt". IMO, stay with the C/ Silver. |

Seeing as I'm in my mid 40's and I already have some of the t-shirts, I have a nasty feeling you may be right. Darn I may have to go down there tomorrow for another look.

IMO if you do buy an orange one, it will be worth less when you trade it in....limited desireability/appeal.
A bit like NHB...! |

Funnily enough, when I got mine I had a choice of Red or Galaxy. The dealer also stated that if I buy the Galaxy it would be worth slightly more at trade in.
Never seen an Orange in the flesh yet. |

As a Silver Champagne owner I should say go for the Champagne !
BUT... If you don't matter what the other think about, if you keep your car on long term bases (colour is no more a main point in the residual price but the milage is I'm not that's why I drive the Champagne one (and because this one was available and not the milano red I was dreaming to drive !) |

May well be true, but I would rather a colour I want rather than getting a colour just for the sake of a few hundred quid on the value of the car after 3 years.

The resale isn't a problem as the car is on a contract hire and is the same price regardless. |

Silver is the best colour for an undercoat to enable you to get a decent respray to a a better colour.
Orange makes it look as thought you forgot to get a Ford. Therefore that leaves you just RED! Glad to be of help! "For 30 years Lady H. has been serving up leftovers. The original meal has never been found!" |

Tangerine Orange looks so yesterday now, to me, the ST has done, so has Fiat, the Civic is a bit behind there, but the looks, phew light years ahead of that lot. Go for NHB (yes I am biased
