New Sep / Oct Car owners any new goodies

Hi

Those lucky people getting there new Civics from now (mid September) can you tell us if they are different i.e. any noticeable changes?

There has been talk on this forum on 2007 models and when that might start and what the changes are if any.

Re Dave

Have not got a date for mine yet!

I should get mine in the next 2 weeks, I am told that it will be a 2007 Spec, anybody got a 2007 yet and is there any difference?

Was to get mine on Monday, but now it looks like Thu/Fri. Having followed this forum from its inception (along with another that shall remain nameless) I'm fairly clued up on what to look for! Not sure if I'm getting a 2006 or 2007 model (probably the former) but if it's the latter I'll report back with my findings!

Pick mine up any day up until friday now.

Guessing 2006 one as it is running a week early, and the people with delayed deliveries are more likely to get the 2007 models, or so i think anyway!

There will be an 07 in the VIN number, in the middle not an 06

It's at times like this basegreen, when I was sitting there going "hmmm, how can you tell?", then see your post and realise just how much age has affected my memory...

Things I guess we would all be very interested in finding out are:

What version of the Sat Nav DVD you get (where applicable)
If the HFT (if fitted) is the 'modified' version with extra foam
If the dash is shiny or dull (ie easy to scratch - but PLEASE don't try it to find out!)

think that's it, unless anyone else has anything?

well, it would be nice to know is the paint harder to scratch (but i don't reccomend trying it :P ), and is the gap between the bumpers and plastic grille bigger (so that the plastics wouldn't rub the bumper's paing off).

Also is there a aux in connector somewhere

Just had a look at my vin number, which has an 07 in it (got it on the 18th).

Mines an ES, so cant help with the HFT thingie or DVD. But I can't see anything new or noteworthy. No aux socket that I can find, dash still uber shiny (mine came with some free scratches though), paint still looks thin (came with a free chip on door), doors still out of alignment, handbrake still wobbles when off.

Mine came with one of those tiny foam spaces between bumper and grille, but only on the right side. But the other side didn't seem pressed up.

All sounds a bit negative really, but am still loving it

Agree with Pengin, superficially nothing noteworthy to report about 2007 year models.

Went to visit dealer this morning as my car has arrived. Checked the VIN number and it is indeed a 2007 car.

Was fitted with 2 rubber strips under central (clear) plastic reflector.

Dashboard material is still made of the easily scratchable shiny plastic.

No aux input anywhere!!

Passenger side front door was slightly misaligned, but dealer had already made note of problem.

Now just have to wait for the front/rear/side spoilers to be fitted, along with the parking radar (why they just can't do it as a factory fit I don't know). So it will only be next week - sometime - when I pick up

Well, as my car is due to arrive in November, I hope it'll be 07 production.
However, I'm a bit affraid... as our local dealers and shops in Croatia tend to do very poor job - as have quite a few extras to add. A bit disappointing they don't put them in already in factory.

Will let you know the version of my SAT nav on Tuesday. As for now all I can say is that the spacers have been put in between the perspex/plastic fronting and that the iCTDI badge is now a discrete sticker on the rear window , like the iVTEC (which I prefer but some may not).

Dealer mentioned that an ECU issue has been fixed around ignition/starting/killing the engine but was too busy looking at my Storms...

Just got my car. Onyl just driven back from dealer.

Took teh DVD out quickly to see what it is, it looks like its a 2006/2007 sat nav dvd.

Not sure what i am doing on the sat nav screens at the moment, what do people want me to check on this new version?
