Did they forget to order?

Rang dealer yesterday to order space saver wheel after reading forum on subject and also to check if delivery date had been brought forward from 8/10/06 ( hoping). Was told computer was down and they couldnt check, but would ring when back up.
Got call today saying now expected 29/10/06 what a bummer, now am i being cynical but I ordered 3 weeks ago. call to check date and now date has gone back 3 weeks
Well cheesed off

You should try to get the space saver for free after that news

Yes worth a try, mind you they lose out in the long run as my trade in will be another 3 weeks older and civ will be 3 weeks newer when it turns up

You are definately a 'half full' kinda person, aren't you

Hope they change it again - in your favour obviously!

Oh no - my delivery date is estimated 08/10 as well... dealer has been checking for me so hopefully no phone call from him with bad news... gutted for you Telboy, this waiting's no fun! Maybe there's a hold up on the production line fixing all the HFTs

I was delayed 3 months! Had to drop the glass roof!

It's going to be worth the wait

Make sure they give you 12 months plus a week on your tax, and as has already been said, your part ex is going to drop a bit in those extra weeks.

All good things come to those who wait

Mine is due october 1st, when last spoke to dealer last wednesday, all was fine for my date.

Seems strange that it is 3 weeks late, tho when i ordered my renault clio 2 years ago, that happened to me, but i think the french are to blame for that (having all of august off).

I just had one come forward for one of my customers. He will be a happy bunny.

I think that the factory is responding to order demand, and the availabilty of components.

I don't think that anyone is going to get a pre-reg Civic in the next 8 months or so, demand is way too high for massaging sales figures with mickey mouse registrations

Will have to print off check list now ready for the pick up and reread the running in threads. Funny how after the initial exitement of buying a new car, waiting so long the anticipation wears off until that phone call then it all comes flooding back
