Wink black or red?

just one to pass the time

My new Type S (2.2 naturally) will be a GT, and therefore have a glass roof

I'm looking to add a few R bits (but Type D stickers ), primarily colour coded skirts and the gorgious front splitter - maybe an R spoiler, but def my R rear indicators.

Big question is:
If I go Black (again), then will it be different enough to my current Black EX, will the splitter show up?
And I'd probably have the extra expense of an R rear light section, as it'd be tooooo tempting not to this time round

Or do I go Red, which will make the splitter stand out more, but equally make the glass roof more obvious

Or maybe Bronze is an option - but that has similar downsides to the Black...

Silver, Orange et al, whilst all very nice, are not on my shopping list

Discuss!

I have the front and rear splitters on my R. I did consider having them colour coded red to match my car, but then I thought what would be the point of putting them on. I have seen a few cars on here with them colour coded and while they look good, my personal preference is to keep them black.

I also think that the rear splitter in black, on a red car, makes the back of the car look lighter and not so bulky. (That is if you decide to get the rear one)

So in short, I think if you get a black car the front splitter won't really stand out, but in red it's a different story.

Agreed! but I haven't seen a black one with the front splitter either...
We are talking about the glossy black one aren't we?? That probably will go nicely with the black paint....

Tricky...I'm tempted to change my mind. A serious dilema....

Well, it'll be what you like, I would favour bronze above black (on black, one fly sh*ts on your car and you can already see a spot ), but above all, red. If you buy such a car, it's not meant do disappear in the grey-ish mass of cars, is it?

Be different this time round! Get a RED one... I have had a black car and they are bu**ers to keep clean..... as you should know with your current one.

Red and black always looks good!

I would also go red but only because the undercoat is the same colour and therefore small paint chips don't show as easily.

I will never go black, dark blue or any other colour where the undercoat doesn't match.

If I had to choose between black and red......mmmmmmmmm.......er I think they both look good.

Milano Red.

A very good point about the undercoat colour when the inevitable stone chips appear. Thats one of the reasons I went for silver myself.

Oh dear; I love NHB but it looks really good in red as well.

As you've had NHB then maybe it's time to change and have Red. Type S looks awesome with the body kit.

Black is complete lack of colour.

Therefore the only choice is not a choice, its Milano every time!
