Type S rear seat question

just a quick question for you S owners please

when sitting in one yesterday, my youngest pointed out that there was no flappy down centre section in the rear seats.

I have this on my EX, and it's handy for the odd occasion where I let them eat in the car, as it gives them somewhere to put their drinks etc.

I don't recall speccing it as an option - is it there on the S or S GT?

please

There's no 'flappy down centre section' in the rear seat of my Type S GT, and there wasn't an option to have one either. I don't think any Type S has it fitted.

There are cup holders and a small flat ledge in the side panels though, which you can see in the photos in this thread

Type R - Trick Rear Seats or Magic Rear Seats ???

this could be a minor problem

What exactly are the marketing people at Honda on?
And can we get them to go cold turkey in time for August?

there are times when I take my two lads out for the day (when they come over for the weekend), and we can then end up grabbing a drive through.

having the drop down bit gives them (especially the 8 yr old) somewhere to balance his drink without risk of it slipping through his fingers and ending up all over the floor.

It's not a show stopper - but for the sake of putting it in, you've got to wonder what brainfart the designer was having when they decided not to...

Is it going to be a deciding factor though

TTDegs wonders how well it'll go down if I turn up at the dlr armed with:
1 8yr old son
1 booster seat
1 Maccy D's cup of Pepsi

"mind if I just try this out?"

think I might just have to make sure the 24hr test drive is sorted for when the boys are here...

cheers all
