I did it!

So I finally struck a deal today.

It did end up being the 1.8 EX in Galaxy with Leather and glass roof.

Managed to get them down to £18,500. Including Honda Happiness, GAP Insurance and Mats.

The sales manager didn't look happy.

Well done, good luck with the car. It should be better than the van by the river.

Bah! knew someone would say that, he was cringing anyway. Could you have bettered the deal?

I know that car dealers are there to make profit, as long as they don't make too much.

Delivery is for late April for the Galaxy, I could have had Black, Silver or Red in time for the plate change.

When you said you tried to claim. What exactly do you mean?
Its a Honda Service Plan isnt it?

Dont worry, you got a good deal by the look of it, the important thing is that you are happy with it. My point was, that if it was that harsh a deal, the sales manager doesnt have to do it!!!

Enjoy the car......

I ordered a 2.2 CTDI EX in red in early January for delivery 1st March now due early April I feel this will be more like end of April.

if you change your colour might be an idea to stay away from red, as it seems this colour has a long delay!

Due to the changes in paint (lack of lead based chemicals and more water based paints) Reds are much more unlikely to fade than before. - That said, imho for a new EX i'd stick with Galaxy, Black or Silver all day long. Milano Red is for Type R's only...

Honda Happiness (nothing to do with TC!) is the 5 year service deal.

The three guarantee is dealer based but backed by Honda all the way.

Yeh see this is where it gets confusing, my honda dealer gave me their 'own' garentee which covers wear and tear and gives you full european AA cover and when my year was up on that i got a letter through saying it was expired and to continue i needed to sign up for a new years garentee, but the letter that i had recieved was not from the dealer like i thought but from the 'honda happiness' garentee and it was only 6 months down the line when my front suspension went on my old honda that i tried to claim and i was told it was not covered as it was wear and tear and upon looking in to it they are seperate from the dealers warrenty and for the 6 months i was not even covered by AA like i thought.

I am still chasing all this up.......on to my 6th letter of complaint already for being mislead into a different garentee.

Sorry i know the explaination was long but i just wanted to explain so you guys knew, however i might of now confused you more

Have the same spec car ordered delivery for the middle of march, managed to get it down to 18,110 but they are advertizing on the local radio that extras worth 1700 are being ofered if ordered before March, will check this out tomorow.
