Are they definately driving it to you, or might it turn up on a low loader? (mine came on a lorry, with a full tank)

Yes TT, there have been other members that have had their cars delivered on a low loader too.

Gary, is it coming from a Honda main dealer or an internet dealer.

If it was me I would go and collect - no delivery driver would thrash my car down the motorways. Also gives you the opportunity to check the car over before you depart.

You may be lucky but I've seen new cars on trade plates (no normal plates fitted) fly by me.

If it does arrive 'driven' check for stone chips.

Ryland honda have always treated me quite fairly - and certainly when I took mine in for a service, I made use of their "we'll give you a lift home / work, and pick you up later when car is ready" service.

The guy who gave me the lift didn't give the impression that he would be thrashing customer's new cars on the way to delivering them
(though of course this is no guarentee! )

Personally I'd look into the price of a one way train ticket from Liverpool to Cardiff though - Ryland is only a mile or two from the main Cardiff station

And as Kremmen says, gives you a chance to give it a once over before signing, and means you are the first to really drive it

A full tank of fuel is included in the otr price so if the car is discounted & the otr is not being paid a full tank is a bonus !! Good luck

Surely it should make no difference if it's on contract hire. The hire co. still has to pay for the otr costs and you simply pay for that with your hire charges, so someone has paid for it therefore the car should come with it.

Perhaps nellz_bassettshonda could correct me if I'm wrong as I will be getting my Civic as a CH car in May. I'd like to know where I stand as my previous two CH cars only came with 5 litres of fuel although I don't think Peugeot or Seat offer a full tank anyway.

As I understand it, some CH companies have different negotiated rates for delivery meaning not only a lower cost but different terms. The tank of fuel etc is for delivery to the dealership etc, any onward movement from the dealership would be after that.

This appears to vary, some dealers always throw them in with the car, others make you haggle for it or charge..

get the kettle on!

although, on second thoughts, probably not worth it - the new owners won't want to wait for it to boil

A few minutes into my handover the dealer thanked me for teaching him about the car and said I was free to go as I obviouly knew more about the car than he did.... The Power of Civinfo.
