Traded in my 06 EX for an 08 EX

I have just traded in my 2 year old EX 1.8 for a new 08 model. I now have 2 DVD's for the Sat Nav which means I can now get directions to the Russian border ! (No more going to France for the nearest McDonalds either).

There are no rubber bungs in the door sills now that get clogged with dirt, just the empty 'scuppers'.

The biggest difference is that I am not hearing any clonks or knocks when moving off from cold or reversing out of the drive. It's all silence from around the undercarriage area.

The stealer gave me a freebie umberella. Even though it has the name of the garage all over it, it is better than a bottle of cheap plonk.

Just got to get my new sticker now, I left the original on the old car.

Glad to see that you are happy.

Can I ask how it worked out with the deal over-all?

I suspect removing the civinfo sticker will be the first thing they do.

Good to hear you are pleased with the new one.

Having picked up my blue petrol EX 1.8 i-Shift last Saturday (glass roof, reversing camera, side & bumper protection, spare wheel, cooler bag & floor lights) I was given no umbrella or a bottle of anything. My wife said if they put flowers in the car for her she would buy her next new car from them also - so they have lost a sale. . I only got one DVD which is in use in the satnav box. Am I missing a euro DVD?

\if its a new car you should have two, one in the sat nav unit, one on the box, East and West Europe, 2008 edition.

dare I ask, where did you get your car from?

The latest DVD's are out then but just not for sale yet.

Maybe they know what will happen when they are available

I didn't have the Sat nav installed in my car as it was a massive 16,000 polish zloty's(£3400) more ( about 20% of the value of the car!!!!) although when i picked my car up in december the sales manager told me that there is now a sale on and sat nav in the civic ( it isn't standard here ) would only be 9,000 polish zloty's(£1900).

Hence, I have no discs

My new March 2008 EX from Honda Enfield UK came with just one DVD in the unit. (No separate box).

It says it is "ALL EUROPE" version 20060616 software ver 1.57.06. This one DVD covers 21 countries. However it does not include East European countries such as Romania.

Considering some owners are getting the latest DVD's with their 2008's I would be interrogating the dealer - it sounds like your 2008 could be a tad older ?

or

the dealer wanted the latest DVD more than he thought you did.

Especially considering they didn't leave the DVD jewel case in the glovebox.

an old verison of the sat nav software?

version 3.05 has been out since mid '07 I think...

did your EX come with parking sensors? and if so, did you spec them, or were they included in the base price?

Wow!

thiswilldo is on his second one already!

Millie's not on 5000 miles yet.

Better not suggest anything like getting a new one to Lady H.!

Did you change colours?

Pretty obvious really.

You probably had a NHB one and now you've pobably got a Milano one.

......understandable really!

I handed over two 2008 EX civics at the weekend, both of which had the new disks with them.
