Oh right,. thanks, chee, that is very useful, so it was a bit more than 6 weeks, I'll give them another week or so then chase them up. Thanks again.

I will leave it 8 weeks as they said 6 and if I have heard no more I will chase them.

Perhaps this fixed price consumables came with the 5 year service deal or maybe it was with the car in any case. Not too sure about that now
I dont understand this as when I sell Honda Happiness (as in the £500 5yr service pack) the customer gets all of the paperwork on handover, including the 'contract' to sign - one copy yours, one copy mine scenario...It wouldn't surprise me if latterly more documents were sent to the customer.

Used Hondas get the Approved Honda folder with the check confirmation details (finance, mileage etc) on handover.

The service end of the Honda Happiness if a budget price parts offer where customers can get discounts off of brake pads, consumables etc. If you are on the system, its logged at Honda Uk, if you aren't, you can easily get added by your dealership. There is no additional paperwork supplied other than the brochure detailing what the scheme provides.

Good grief. That both clarifies and complicates things ! I really do need to chase this if I do not get confirmation in the next couple of weeks. Thanks NH Dan.

I May be getting things confused as there are many things that Honda have tagged Happiness as we've seen, so dont go in blazing all guns at the dealership!! Best thing is to go in to them rather than ring and speak to the sales person that dealt with it, if no joy ask to speak with the service manager - its his team that that ultimately will be sorting out the mess in 12 months time if it hasnt been set up.....

With my 5 year fixed price service plan, documentation was sent to me by Honda some weeks after delivery of car, but that was 12 months ago

Yes, I agree, NH, the service manager is very calm and reassuring about it all. I do go in rather than phone. All I ever get is that so-and-so is 'with a customer' so better to go in and have a coffee and a look at the cars

It seems to me there are some inconsistencies here with how the dealer handles things, from my (simplistic) point of view, I've dealt with the dealership and they should give me everything I need.

Its only been a week for me, but I will see if anything drops through my letterbox, I'm still waiting for my logbook and car mats! If I don't hear anything soon I will wander into the dealership and ask what's what.

1) The log book may take slightly longer than normal bearing in mind that it is March and the increase in new registrations/people changing cars etc will slow things down a bit.

2) Mats won't fit thru your letterbox! . Give your sales guy a call and ask them where they are. Better than that, if they are local enough, go in and see him/her face to face.

Interesting tale, the mats were in the car when I went to view it. Missing when I picked them up and when I went back to ask they hunted around for them and could not find them, so they said I should come back when parts were open and I could have some new ones. I went back on the allotted day, and there didn't have any in stock. I rang them a few days later and they were back in, but not ones for me ???

It maybe a brush off, but I have nothing better to do than badger them, so for me its sport. Arnold Clarke Manchester better watch out!

An update, just to tie this up

1) Went into dealership to ask about log book, they found it in the back of a drawer, good job I asked because the tax is due.
2) I've got mats!
3) no sign of warranty, I've started a new thread about that though.

i think with the warranty and roadside assistance its the car thats covered and not the driver so as long as you've got the phone number to get the assistance you wont have a problem (because they ask for the registration number rather than your personal details)?but if i've got this wrong would like to know!!
