2 year/25000 mile Service
Just had my 2.2 serviced at Springfield Hoonda, Newcastle upon Tyne. Cost was £299 and they seem to have done a cracking job.
Rear shocks corrected, windscreen rattle corrected by removing spacers, 2nd fuel filler fix applied (long term solution) and overall the car feels as tight and efficient as it was when I first picked it up. The big difference though is the turbo performance, what an improvement! The service has definitely loosened it up a bit and I'm going at warp speed once more, especially when you squeeze the throttle in 2nd geat at around 15mph right up to 35. Wooooshhhhhhhh! Well chuffed! |

Pleased to hear that. I persuaded them to give me 2 years free servicing. So knowing it cost £299 that makes me feel better. Mines due in a few months. Noting the corrections they did, what year is yours?

Its an 06 reg. I bought mine with 6000 miles on the clock as an ex-dem so nothing doing with free servicing of Honda Hapiness (which wasnt out then for diesels).

Thanks.
Just for info it was not logged as Honda happiness. They wrote me a letter to present to the service desk agreeing to the 2 years free servicing. |

Hmm, well I said everything was OK, but with four people in the car at the weekend the knocking/creaking from the back of the car was TERRIBLE! Its going back in on Thursday. It appears my praise of the dealers was a little hasty, lets hope they can sort it this time round!!!
I have come to the opinion that Springfield Honda Newcastle are very poor. The Civ was in and out of the garage just after I bought it for wheel allignment problems which I've ended up living with becuase they couldn't find anything wrong. It seems everytime the car goes in to get something sorted, it comes back with a bigger problem. |
