Big Decision Coming

The wife's Clio is going soon as she has just ordered a new JAZZ 1.2

Now the problem arises. The Clio had a trailer hitch fitted which is in regular use etc. The question now arises as to which car a new tow hitch is fitted. Having looked thro the other threads I can't find a lot on fitting to the Civic, so does anyone have pics of detachable and fixed types to show for either car ?

The other question is that of cost. Honda fitted units are quite expensive so does anyone have experience of cost and quality from the after market installers ?

I had mine fitted at Trident Trailers (NTTA approved). They are in Kent so probably a bit far from you. I have had three from them in total and have had no problems. I assume as you are also considering putting the bar on a Jazz that you don't tow anything too heavy!!

On the threads above a few of the pics are mine. PM me if you want any different pictures.

In Sweden at least, the Jazz can only tow 1000kg, 800kg if it is an auto.

A 1,8 Civic - 1400kg.

Hey Ramsay

Unfortunately I cant really help with the wheres and hows in the best towbar to choose, but I bought my car with a fixed one already fitted and if you want to see a couple of pics, pm and I'll send you a few close ups if needed.

Thanks for your reply foas, and I like your pics.
As for the decision, the wife lost the toss and the new Jazz will be getting fitted with the hitch but not by the Dealer. I will be saving £100 or so by going to a Witter approved Co. not too far away from me.

As least the Jazz will Know it's place next to the spaceship.

What's behind your user name by the way ?
