I've been wondering about this myself - it's not listed for the diesel in the 2008 price list supplied by Honda but is for the petrol.....? Side by side in the brochure and says option for the petrol models but "-" (not available) for the diesels.

I suppose they could have discontinued it for the diesel for 2008.

By the way - June delivery? That is a long wait..

When I approached City Honda in Basingstoke, they thought Honda Happiness was all about fixed prices for parts and servicing. They didn't know anything about a service package.... Just as well as I don't think I could have stretched to 800-odd quid!!

I think that over the years this term has been used for several different types of deals.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Honda Happiness does seem a great idea. £850 compared with £1180. thats a £330 saving at present servicing rates. and I do like a bargain!

Will be trying again next week, snow permitting!

But you do pay up front, so there is a loss of interest over the years on your money. However, it is still a good deal.

Yes up front, unless you can get a dealer to let you have 0% direct debit.

I'll do 62500 miles in less than three and half years. done my figures and still seems good value

I got it when i ordered my CTR last year, i got it for £350, 3 weeks before i ordered the car i got a text message saying if i ordered a 3 or 5 door that month i would get 5 years free servicing, but the dealership wouldnt have it, but in the end they gave up and i managed to get it for £350

Finally got it sorted today, after about a hours wait, due to local dealers computer crashing or not being able to connect to Honda site

Thats something that my dealer offers, but quite frankly paying it all in one go is fine by me I can see why people would do this if they were paying £850 and purchasing at the same time as the car

I have taken this plan out for £500 on my CTR, I had always thought that it was one fixed price from Honda, how are people paying £350 and £850 for this ??? I had also called 3 local dealers who all quoted me £500, as long as you take it out within 8 months of purchasing a new car!

Did you know that the sales person gets commision on each sale of a Honda Happiness policy!

Really? from what I've heard some dealerships don't push it at all. I had to ask for it and they told me it was a set price from Honda with no margins.

I took mine out 3 weeks ago and the girl on the telephone told me to ask for her the next time I called, as this was the case. It does nt make sense why they dont push it, maybe because most of these sales for these policies are done at the time the car is purchased, and not a few months later.

£850 does make sense for oil burners as they are serviced more regularly.

Some dealers are offering their own packages of just 3 years for £350...ideal for those who know that they are only going to have their car two or three years and then change. £850 is the price for the Diesel

Correct me if i'm wrong but don't the Petrol and Diesel have the same service intervals I know that there is more to the service on the Diesel hence the higher price, but I thought it was once a year or every 12500 miles for a service on both?
