Now it is done!!!

Just got back from the dealer.

Bought a new 2008 5-door Civic, 1.8 Sport. Added stainless steel doorsills, blue footwell lighting and the Image/Grand Prix pack. The dealer said the 18" storms were overpriced and talked me out of getting them.

Got list price on the components and an overall discount of 7%.

The car was available from stock, but it will take some time to fit some of the options that were not available from stock, which is why I have to wait 2-3 weeks.

Dealer impression: I bought it at Chevrone in Stockholm. I got an overall good impression of them and he started of giving me quite reasonable price on the options (comparing to the other dealers I have visited, I have had prices which have been quite a bit above list price on the options).

I asked about their opening hours duirng the Easter weekend, but since they were closed contacted me last week asking if I was interested still (Very nice!) and telling me that they would make sure that there was one for testdrive today.

Went there drove it for an hour or so and got back to the dealer, changed some options and got an updated quote - then signed the contract.

So, when it has been delivered I will probably buy H&R lowering springs and 18" alloys.

Congratulations on the new car. It will probably be the longest 2-3 weeks of your life waiting to get into your new spaceship

I have looked at some alloys for it, but I have not decided yet. I think I may go for a OZ Utraleggera lookalike, and paint it black or graphite grey.

Now I am off to rent a Nissan Note... after driving the Civ yesterday this will not be a pleasant (but fairly cheap) experience

Yea, that was what I was thinking about. But they were all out of them so it had to be a Golf instead, and POOF! I could have spent that money on my Civ instead... It cost me almost 90€ for less than 6 hours!

But at least I got to drive a Golf, and after that ride I am very, very satisfied with my choice. Not that the Golf was poor to drive - but outright boring. My Megane was more interesting!

Which dealer did you go to?

For me it took almost 4 weeks to actually have it delivered. But on the other hand, it was worth the wait.
