Ah, I didn't know it was a special order option for the 5 door variant. I must admit to being surprised that the wait was only going to be a week & a half, but then again I suppose they've got some 3 doors stocked up to be sold. If I was going to have to wait for a long time then I would have switched colours to I think. Ian |

Works out just over 19K which is a little more than I wanted to pay originally but hey-ho, got to have what you like eh? Originally that was with £3,120 as trade in for my Pug but if it sells elsewhere then it wont be trading in. I like the Vivid Blue Pearl, previously when I was after my 306 before the 307 Peugeot had a ncie blue which I'd have had but settled for a Diablo Red model instead. Have a check online as I found Type S GT's for just under £17K, plus then your options like wheels & colour etc. and this is what I told them at the garage. Ian |

Final Date Confirmed For Collection!
Ok, now I am chomping at the bit and counting down every last second till I can pick up my brand new Tangerine Space Ship!!!!
Date set for the morning of Saturday 19th, part ex'ing my (returned to stock) 307 XSI for it. Cant wait!!! Other half actually now very excited to, still not 100% sure on colour but appreciates why I chose it due to wanting to be different and individual. Managed to get her insured on the car to, with all changes to existing policy to reflect new car and price etc for an additional £106.35 all through Elephant with me as a business user. Didn't think that was bad at all. Ian |

Thanks mate The cleaning part is one of the reasons why I chose Tangerine as well. Black is an awesome colour on any vehicle, but is harder to maintain and can show up any imperfections much easier. I felt I'd get very put out seeing any imperfections in something I had worked hard for. I nearly went for a Vauxhall Sport Hatch, but this forum was one of the main reasons I didn't as there is so much more happening here and more fun in the car itself. Ian |

I didn't really consider the TypeR, lovely car but my line of thinking was to save some money in the long run by going the diesel route. Already over the Pug XSI I am replacing I'm saving £85 on road tax alone, then with any mileage I do it will be cheaper still. Pay a little more on servicing perhaps, but thats expected. TypeR's are lovely cars but I've been there and done that so to speak with fast, 200bhp petrols before my current 307 and so have resisted doing it again. Ian |

Well done, looks fab!
As you can see by my sig, I'm waiting for my new EX - due on 27th (Sunday so will be Monday) - and once I make up my mind, I want things sorted asap. My dealer has the type S as demos in Tango, looks brill but I need a 5 door and cant/wont wait 20 weeks! |

Thanks matey. I am well happy with it. Being more responsible I to should have perhaps gone for the 5 door version, my father is awaiting grandchildren but I want to hold on to my boy-racer side just a little longer I can sympathise with you on the waiting till your new car arrives, as mentioned on here numerous times it does seem drag on but then the wait is worthwhile. Hang in there dude and you'll soon be behind the wheel. Ian |
