Question new colours

Hi everyone.
Does anyone know if there may be some new colours about to be launched. Apparently the royal blue pearl is discontinued for the Honda Civic 1.8 EX model.
We don't find the colours too inspiring and are hoping for something new before ordering otherwise it will be the blueish silver metallic.
Anyone any inside info !!
Thanks
Sue

colour

Hi
Thanks for the reply - yes it did look like the colour of your car when we saw it -but on the colour chart there is a Royal Blue Pearl.
I like the colour of your car - shame its discontinued.

On the website, Tangerine Orange has disappeared and has been replaced with Vivid Blue!

The vivid blue is still available for the 1.4 model ONLY. My dealer had one in the showroom as they had a special offer on it.

As I have just ordered a new EX I triple checked the colours available, even being shown the web site the dealers use to order the cars. I would have ordered a vivid blue but it is not available for all other models.

Milano red and NHB were on a lengthy wait, like the tangerine, the others were about 4-6 week wait while, at the time of ordering, blueish silver was 3 weeks - I have a delivery date of 27/4/08, but practically will be 28 or 29/4 as that's a sunday.

It would be interesting to hear what research Honda did that led them to do away with Vivid Blue... if any

No news yet on what the 09 MY colour range will be as that wont be happening until sept time.

The reason foir Vivid still being available on the SE+ is that they are all 'up-specced' 2007 MY cars, i.e., built as a 2007 then had wheels/trim added to them.

....He hopes.... as I say, no decisions have been made or certainly not fed out to the dealer network as to which colours will or wont be available for the 2009 Model Year Civics

Tangerine??? This is nt really a new colour as my previous car (Peugeot 306) was in Blaze Yellow, which is basically the same as Tangerine! Its abit outdated! I think that Vivid blue is an old colour too, Ford used this colour in the 80s. Why not use dark graphite grey, or metallic white instead?

When talking 'NEW' we're talking new to honda not new to the world. If that were the case there would be no new colours as God pretty much cornered the market there.

I know that! The colours mentioned are very 80s, why not try something new, Bronze Black for example is a great colour? Metallic White is amazing too!

It must just be that I've own a tangerine/blaze yellow car for over 9 years and I'm sick of the colour now!

Hey Matey,

Blaze yellow is not as close as my 307 in Paprika (burnt orange) to Honda's Tangerine and guess what colour Civic I'm getting?!
Yep Tangerine!

I love the colour, I'm the oppostie perhaps to yourself as I have had a car with a similar orange colour I have grown fond of it to stick with it. Plus I feel this colour looks great with tinted windows and black highlights.

Just awaiting delivery Wednesday 16th, cant wait! Been stripping non-standard parts off 307 to part-ex as no one wanted it on Ebay

When I ordered my car the dealer said they couldn't get Royal Blue as they were 'running' it out. But that's what I wanted and that's what I got.

I know they are building a batch of 10 Royal Blue EX's at the end of May because I had my name down for one.
