Advice on new civic
Hi to everyone,
I'm getting my first cvic at the beginning of july.I have decided on a new CIVIC 1.8 TYPE S GT.(alabastor silver, '18' blade alloy wheels)I just need advice from the forum members on the followimg questions? 1)Is the GT option worth the extra money? 2)Will the optional '18' blade alloy wheels' look good with the alabastor silver paint work? 3)Are the '18' blade alloy wheels a good option and are they good quality and hard wearing?or should i spend the money elsewhere on the car? THANKS. |

For me, I thought the GT spec was worth the extra £1000 (at the time I bought it, not sure if the difference is still that)
It all depends on whether you want or need the extra kit, but the view I took was that there were quite a few things included for the difference in cost, namely Glass Roof Cruise Control Front Fog Lights Auto Wipers Auto Lights Dual Zone Climate Control I very seldom use the Dual Zone Climate Control, so wasn't bothered about it and the foglights I think I've used about 4/5 times in the last year (but they do improve the look of the front of the car, even if you're not using them) The rest of the kit is useful, although probably not essential - although I would be loath to go back to a car now without cruise control. Can't comment on whether the Blades are durable, as I stuck with the standard wheels - if you spec them at the time of ordering though, they would be covered by warranty for the same 3 years as the rest of the car. |

I have a S type GT with blades, I have done 2500 miles so far and blades, look as good as new.
I like the glass roof on the GT lets in so much light, I never drive with it closed, auto lights and wipers are good, only use the fog lights when it is foggy, dual climate is good as the other half likes it cooler than me, Cruise I use occasionally on a long run but never been a great fan of it in general, Overall I think it is a good upgrade package. |
