[Dealers] Grrrr Damn dealers

I was told that my new compmnay car would be at the dealer on 21st april and available a few days later.

I've chased the lease company and had no replies, so I asked my companies facilities dept to call.

After waiting on hold the nice ladie at my company told me that the dealer had 'Mistakenly sold' the car allocated to me, and that I have to wait for a new production run..... 30th Sept is the earliest they can deliver!!!

So theres no red Type S CTDI's with sat nav HFT, in any holding compound in the UK? Hmmmmm...........

I'm a bit miffed as it means 5 months with a metallic puke yellow Citroen C4 Grand Picasso people carrier.

Oh my image.......

rant over.

Stu

that's pretty shocking to be honest
i'm sure your company will be getting a very tidy sweetener due to that c()ck up
you wil have to spend all your time waiting on here then

As a another kick in the the teeth my Type S stickers arrived yesterday from ebay. I planned a sneaky stickerage up behind the building when it was delivered!

It definately isnt good what the dealer has done there but I can confirm that there are no Type S CDTI's with Nav in Honda's stock in ANY COLOUR. Depp bronze is the earliest at mid July and even then, there are less than 10 available. There are Type S GT's with Nav coming thru for mid june.

Unfortunately the companys policy is diesel or hybrid only. The type R would look good next to my rebuilt old skool 1991 Civic VT though!

Its a shame that all I ordered was a plain Type S. I doubt very much they will upgrae to the GT with my choice of Blade alloys as well.

I feel a bit sad.

Ask your Firm to kick up a rant Knightly, it's very bad form for the dealer to mess you about like this. They will make enough dosh out of the deal, so give them a few words via your Company, you never know.

Update, after a whole day of not getting much work done, trying to get hold of the contact at the lease company, I took it higher. I then called the supplying dealer and they had a car in stock that wasn't quite what I ordered... So I was desperate to not let this one slip away!

So at 4pm, after long talks with the lease company we came to a deal.....
Today I resubmitted an order form for a...Milano red type s GT(!!!) with 18 inch blade alloys and satnav!
For the original quote of the basic type s with the blades!

It will be 2 weeks for the paperwork to be done, but the car has been reserved in my name in the dealer stock! The last one for a while??

I seriously hope this happens, as if they mess me about again, its Seat leon FR time, and that will always be second best.

Stu

I suppose this has confirmed that our Civic is still in great demand which will not hurt our residuals one bit
