Ordered new car today - not much colour choice!

Have ordered Civic 1.4 SE with i-Shift today but could not get my preferred colour of Tangerine Orange. My second choice, Nighthawk Black was not available until the end of August. (The Tangerine is a five month wait)

Alabaster Silver & Galaxy Grey were the only two available for the third week in July, which is when I collect the car.

I have chosen the Galaxy Grey, but I can't understand why the supply of new colours is so limited. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Its a hard choice choosing a colour that you want and compramising with a waiting time to get the car im still waiting for mine i decided on black but fancied red however there was going to be a longer wait for red so went with the black. Good luck and ive got no idea how it takes so long. 3 to 4 months seems a bit long.

Yep, had the same. I originally wanted a Tangerine when I went in to change my car 3-4 weeks ago. If I remember correctly - tangerine was 22 week wait (september) milano & black were july and galaxy, alabaster and blueish silver were 3 weeks.
I went for blueish silver and I have had confirmation today that the car will be ready for pick up on Monday afternoon but I will be picking it up Tuesday 9am.

I hope you don't regret not waiting the extra two months for your preferred colour.

I ordered the Tangerine Type-S at the beginning of March (8th).
So I have to wait till August till I finally have it.
I already knew that the waiting time was about 5 months, but I decided to stick with Tangerine, although blueish silver would be my second choice.
When I'm gonna spend that much money, I'd like to get the one that I really prefer and not a colour that would be actually second choice.

But I'll have to say it is a long wait till August.
Then again, now I'm driving the VFR more than usual.

Normally I would agree, but residuals came into play and it was more financial that I went for the blueish silver. If I had wanted type S in tango, I was given a delivery date of 2 weeks as they were then in stock!! But need a 5 door for the versatility.

It's poor that you have to wait so long for your preferred choice of colour!
