Hi and welcome to civinfo.
Sorry to hear this. Pehaps this is an option: eBay Motors: 2006 2007 2008 06 07 08 HONDA CIVIC KEY KEYLESS REMOTE (item 370054756353 end time May-31-08 14:09:06 PDT) They claim you can program it yourself and it is a genuine Honda part. So you'd just need to get the blade cut. I'd email them first to check compatibility. |

For nearly £200 I'd be digging the drains up! bit scary as I cannibalized mine to make a flip key so if i needed a replacement - ouch! I hope the forum members can help you.

Thanks for the reply's so far, I spent an hour trying to get the key out with a fishing net, but with no luck, and it wasn't a very pleasant experience either.

Will one of these gadgets help?
PICK UP TOOLS, 2, FLEXIBLE GRABBER & MAGNET, LONG REACH on eBay, also, Hand Tools, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Jun-08 11:30:00 BST) Press the end and little grabbing clasps protrude and grip the keys when the end is released. I've had one for years, only neede it about 3 times, but each time it was successful in retrieving dropped keys from a drain (2 times) and a small screw from behind an engine block. Worth it's weight in gold!! I don't have the magnet attachment, but that looks as if it could do the job. PS: This is the type I have...Spring Claw Flexible Grabber Tool on eBay, also, Special Tools Measuring Tool, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 21-Jun-08 07:21:06 BST) |

I reckon that having been stuck under water for the electrons will be buggered by now as well even if I could get it back. |

Your best bet is to get rid of most of the water in the gully, ok not an easy or pleasant job if you don't have a pump, so small bucket will have to do. At least then you have a small chance of seeing something.
This happened to me many many years ago, and I did get them back. Good luck |
