Your really going to have to work that one out for yourself. Check out a price comparison website. Its also good to know what you want, fully comp, third party. What you want it to cover, how much the excess will be.

If you are also for looking at who will do the best deal for you well that all depends on age, sex, location, car, miles per year, any modifications, what you intend to use if for etc. Also some companies won't touch you with less than 4 years no claims so thats a factor too.

I would say give Bell a go. They seem to be alright with young drivers.

Also im with ECar modified - 21 on a RGT paying 1400 , so they might be worth a try.

Oh and if your parents need to drive your car don't forget to add them on

I'm with admiral, £517 fully comp with 0 no claims, no points, accidents or convictions. £200 excess but thats on top of the mandatory that all insurance companies charge (especially those under 25). Places like Elephant, Bell, Admiral etc all seem to do a good deal on young drivers.

Get yourself onto somewhere like Money Supermarket and get them to do a search for you then go to any other companies like Direct Line that won't quote on these systems.

Don't touch NU with a bargepole, they're policies arn't worth the paper they're written on, sadly I know from experience..

However for me:

Age: 22
NCB: 1 (One 50 pound knock in 2007)
Driving: 5 years
Level: Licence + Pass Plus

Quote from bell on my Type S is around 850 fully comp.

ATB,
Tom

It is cheap!, (cos they weasle out of paying you ). I had a knock and all they did was hassle and mess me around, then ended up cancelling the policy cos' the broker that had liased with them got a detail wrong, then they just caused loads of grief.

Thanks for the Sig nod, I like it, jsut sort of sums me up at the mo'

Cheap insurance

The problem with car insurance, or any other insurance for that matter, is you never know what is a good deal is until the day comes and you need to make a claim.
What may appear to be good deal at the time(cheap) turns out to be a nightmare, so a lot is down to pot luck.
The first question I ask any perspective company is, when I call you will I speak to someone in the UK, if the answer is no,,,,,,,,end of conversation.

I've been with Churchill for a while now. £199 for the Hybrid, protected full no claims, windscreen and legal cover. I also have them for my home insurance, which gives a discount on the motor insurance. They're great at settling claims too, if the house insurance is anything to go by. Customer service is excellent too.

However, I think the likes of Churchill and Direct Line do tend to go for the "Ordinary Joe".
