Service schedule - 2.2 EX

Hi there

I've had my car for two months now and it's due the second service (24,000 miles on the clock), so I called both of my nearest Honda dealerships (Bedford and Milton Keynes) and asked how much the 25,000 service will cost. Milton Keynes quoted £379 and Bedford £219 - quite a difference!!! I've seen that the service book has the list of jobs that need to be carried out at each service, but I'm just wondering why there's such a big difference in price - has anyone got any suggestions?

I've had a look on the wiki and seen there is quite a range but can't help but be suspicious about the difference!!!
Cheers

I had mine serviced in February, 25000, and it cost £210. I think they are having a laugh with the high figure.

If they are both Honda dealers then always take the lower price as there is no set standard price

As Jazzman says, each dealer just makes up their own prices - so shop around.

Please could you add your service costs and quotes to the wiki: Service Cost - Civinfo Wiki (PM me with your details if you're not sure how to edit the wiki).

When I got my car I asked about service costs:

2.2 CDTi
year 1
154
year 2
314
year 3
180
year 4
314
year 5
233

Looks like I'll be shopping around for year 2 service in a few months time.

Seems I was a touch hasty. I called the Bedford garage again to book the car in, seems inflation has struck and it's now £295, still, nearly £100 cheaper!!

Perhaps they have their eyes trained on this forum to see what they could charge extra
