Hi and welcome to civinfo.

Have a look at this: http://www.civinfo.com/forum/holdcro...r-ex-demo.html

You should have posted in the Buying, Dealers and Servicing - Civinfo section but don't worry one of the moderators will move it. Have a look around in this section there may be information of interest to you.

Don't worry Skyman!

Welcome to Civinfo and happy searching for a CTR

Why not ask the dealers in the commercial section for a deal? Commercial - Civinfo

Personally i would print out a quote from "drivethedeal" or "buyacar" on the net and take it to as many dealers as possible. Play them off each other. Then go to the one with the best deal. Cos of the credit crunch they should be bending over backwards to please you!!!

Current preference is a milano red one. Drove a silver one yesterday - loved the drive, not sure about the colour. Dealer was fixed at £19,100 for a GT with added decals and no other extras.

Thats a crap deal, I wouldn't even call it a deal.

I know that price of the Civics (especially the R & RGT) have gone up a fair wee bit but when I bought mines I got a mines for just under the list price at £18600 with Rage Alloys, Mats, iPod connector & Diamondbright (I didn't know they were putting this on and only realised 2 days after I had the car oops ) and I didn't even have to ask, thats what I was offered and all I had said was I wasn't trading in.

You may find that as its the start of the month then you will get a better deal towards the end of the month or if the dealer has one there ready to go and has been struggling to shift it then they maybe more willing to give a bigger discount on the car to ge shot.

I did phone around dealers and see which ones were going to do the best deal for me....I ended up going to the other one where I live after being told all I could get was a maximum of £300 off the car without a trade in, in the first dealers (which was the same company). Needless to say the salesmanager of the dealer who only offered £300 off has since been given the boot...wonder why?

Oh and Neil....do you need to change your wee pic as it seems you no longer have milano anymore?

So is £17,500 for a new GT in milano red, with no other extras a reasonable expectation?

For a comparison, I picked up my brand new CTR-GT only last week with SatNav/HFT in NHB for £19,400. I could have got a few hundred more off that but I got a fairly good deal with my P/X which meant the cost to change was no different.

Cool Possibly the worst place to buy ...

NORWAY ...

Bad enough that a 1.8 EX costs NoK 300,000 (£ 30,000) on the road ...

BUT, a CTR GT runs - wait for it - at NoK 450,000 (£ 45,000) !!! ...

Possibly why I have yet to see a single CTR over here ? ...
