TED JOHNSON (Barnsley) Used to sell and service new and used Hondas for aeons, now does other makes, but still deals and services Hondas.....
Never EVER had a bad word to say about them, and Mr Johnson looks a lot like old Mike Reid (the cockney one!) - but his reputation is a lot more honest than that! Funnily enough, a new gang in town arrived a few years ago, his Honda Techie went there too, he remembers me, and he has sorted me out with all manner of info for my past Hondas... These new chaps are: Barnsley Honda I'm getting my noo Civ SE from them, trading in an Accord 2.4EX (also from them, only had it 2 months) for something "a little less thirsty"... Not a great PX, a bit of pressure applied (which I fended off) but a nice long test drive and a lot of queries properly answered (they know I'll go to my tame techie for the answers anyway!) So far, 10/10 for them..... Just waiting to hear when I can pick up the motor!!!! The worst one... Well I won't name names as such, but I will say that a certain Honda dealer in Ossett, West Yorkshire has its name indelibly etched on my braincell.... because they took an astonishing EIGHT months to (fail to) order me an exhaust for my then Prelude-4ws (Honda's own advert claimed ANY PART 48 HOURS no matter what) The techie I know (then at Ted Johnsons) put me right on that, gave me a load of paperwork to back up the claim, I wrote to the finance company telling them I didn't want the car any more due to crap service... bada-bing... all got sorted within a week!!! |

Chiswick were and have since been far superior both before and after buying my new Civic Hybrid. I recently had the misfortune of running into the back of a pick-up truck and Chiswick Honda dealt with everything from recovering the car, calling to check that I was well and returned the car to me in showroom condition. |

As a matter of fact one of the sales people was quite "off" with me on the phone the other day! Not one of my nicest experiences, especially when I found a replacement car I wanted at a very good price, but they lied to me and told me they would sort it out! I honestly feel like I've been fobbed off by them quite a lot - as I said to them, I'm NOT a very happy customer! And I have given them every opportunity to try and sort things out - I'm still waiting But I suppose everyone's got the right to have an opinion. |

Everyone also has the right to be treated with respect......and go somewhere else. It's sometimes the only feedback that some dealers understand.....often too late. (But not much good when you have had a bad service etc) |

As we were buying a Hybrid I had to wait several months. I'm not saying that during that period they didn't give me the odd occasion to grumble, however as I previously said they were far superior to my local dealer. I'd certainly buy from them again and based on my experience would most definately recommend them. |

I've had many dealings with Honda dealers,
Bought my Accord lsi vtec and then Accord type R from Phoenix Falkirk, found them not too bad, then got my current car, Accord Sport i-ctdi fro Hyndland Honda and found them spot on. On buying the new car, I gave Hyndland, Phoenix Falkirk & Stirling a visit. Got three different prices for my current car and went with the best deal, Phoenix Stirling. So far my dealings are very good with them, also had a chat with the Service manager about a few tweeks |

We know Andrew, you beat me to the posting tonight - off for a decent run out tomorrow just to make sure that new windscreen survives all this rain - don't mention ice though
But yes, as others will have already noted on here Civicsport and myself have had some excellent service from DeVries Honda of Stockton lately, great team there. |

Maybe finding a good dealer is a "personality" thing!!
I say Ruislip Honda are the best by far, but then I get on well with all the people there, they are like a great big happy family that make me feel welcome, they remember me (probably cos im there so much lol) and just make the whole experience so much nicer. I dont feel the need to moan to them at all as I have every faith they will help me. I am sure there are people who will disagree with me though and think that maybe Chiswick is better whereas I think the service at Chiswick is dreadful and I felt the urge to commit a very serious crime whilst dealing with them |

Aftercare is as good if not better than the sales (which was superb). Visited them yesterday, they fixed a small fault, cleaned the car inside and out, topped up the oil, loaned me a car to use for a couple of hours, offered a test drive in a Type R also They seem to have a really good team of staff who all work together, I've no idea how many Honda dealers I drove past to get there, but I'll be driving past all of them again (67 miles) when the car needs it's first service. |
