well - he's gone all quiet...

so either he's out having fun, or busy shouting at the dlr

Fingers crossed for the former, obviously!

So the car is with the dealer though.

My advice : get down there tomorrrow with a camera and take a picture of the damage. This will be very good to keep as a record for any future paint problems. I would also want to check that the damage is just localised to where they say. I would also think some serious compensation is coming your way ?

Get the pictures though, that is a MUST do.

Major downer! Sorry man. But good things come to those who wait!!

If you cant get pictures could you at least get them to put something in writing maybe? If you do have problems later on i bet they will have a major case of amnesia come repair time!! Something in writing admitting damage maybe... don't know but anything worth a try I suppose.

Good Luck

Cheers

I would want some serious compensation for this if it is true and the dealer has not just thought of it as an excuse for not delivering on time. Even if it is just an excuse I would still want some form of compensation.

I agree, there is some serious Bulslhit somewhere here.

If I as a dealer had really spilt Brake fluid onto the paint work (how the hell did they do that). The last thing I would do is admit it, they could make up any excuse - delivery delay, sickness in workshop. You just don't admit to ruining the paintwork on a brand new car.

ME personally,, I would not accept the car, you are paying good money for a new car, not a repainted damaged vehicle. Insist on a new car, and to be provided with a temporary vehicle in the meantime (if that suits you).

end of..............

Yer new news paint work looked to good and to well match to have been damaged , i gave him some hassle about the delay and in the end i got to swop the mats in the studio pack for 50£ discount so he say £30 for delay £20 for mats lol go and ask for some matts wount be £20 i bet , car home and sweet apart from badly kerabed alloys so more hassling.
