What can I get for my CTDi EX ? Thoughts....
Hi All,
It's a sad day but I have decided I have to sell my shiny new Civic! Without going into too much detail, my main client (I'm freelance) went belly-up and lots of promised work is now down the drain. Consequently I cannot afford to have a car loan round my neck! So what I'm wonderin' is how much can I get for it. It's a 2.2 iCDTi EX with 18" Altimos and front & rear bumper garnish (Garnish! I ask you) I've also upgraded the audio with much better front speakers and an Alpine sub unit (Sounds gorgeous). I also have Honda roof bars (although I don't keep 'em on the car). It's pretty much mint apart from a couple of tiny chips and it's done 10,000 miles (bloody enjoyable one's too). Do you think it will fetch a good price as it's available now, rather than at the end of a waiting list? Any ideas/suggestions appreciated. Of course, as soon as more work comes in I'll be buying another one and hopefully by then there'll be an ipod adaptor!! cheers all Roger Last edited by Roger Harris; 17th October 2006 at 08:02. |

No idea as to what you could get, but seems like lately we've had plenty of new members who haven't even ordered their car yet. Maybe one of them might be interested in buying yours? Grey99 is one of them

Sorry for asking something offtopic...
Didn't you have the Alpine subwoofer on your Civic? Did you exchange it to a Pioneer? Is it a TS-WX22A model? Is Pioneer better than the Alpine? I was just thinking of installing either the Alpine SWD-1600 or the Pioneer in my Civic, when I get it in January. |

Iron Soil - No, My mistake, it's the Alpine I have. Not sure where I got Pioneer from?? The Alpine is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to get another.
Generationgav - No, I don't have the CD changer (because I thought I'd be using my iPod when I bought it! |

Roger, sorry to hear about your change in circumstances. Hope that you get a good price for the Civic and when your circumstances change for the better, I will want to see pictures of the Type R that you will end up getting

Hi willisthm,
Sorry, not looking for a seat. After scouring exchange and mart I'm thinking that £16000 would be a good price, or £15,999 as they put it. I'll live with being short by a quid! Especially as there's about £2000 of extras on it! (Oops, my mistake. that should have been 16 not 17 ! I've edited it. Too much time staring at numbers) cheers Roger Last edited by Roger Harris; 19th October 2006 at 08:06. |

Hi Sorry to dissapoint you a bit, but the extras can almost be discounted value wise when selling and the price you are asking is a little bit high. Here is the suggested values from Parkers website for your model with an average of 10,000 miles per year but obviously you may get some one prepared to pay a little more. Original Price£18,082Franchised Dealer£16,165Independent Dealer£15,555Private Good £14,485Private Poor £12,960Part Exchange£13,725 |
