Nice one, I have been on this comparison web site and can get my policy down to £398 per year with the same cover as my existing policy with Direct Line.
A saving of £100 to what i am currently paying.

Post this on the Tesco Compare thread. That's way people can see that it's not just me it has been beneficial to.

I also found that I got a cheaper quote during the summer months, but when we started to get into winter the price started to creep up! Maybe they think we're all going to go mad when the winter weather arrives and crash our pride and joy

I'm not overly surprised - that looks like a cracking deal for your circumstances!

1. 08 CTR GT
2. £253
3. Esure (thru Confused.com)
4. 39 and my wife 35
5. 20
6. 9+
7. None
8. Fife

Could have got it for £247 with Budget but compulsary excess was £250 compared to £100 with Esure, also worth noting Budget charge £25 for every ammendment made to the policy..... my wife was charged for changing her car part way through the year, pretty shocking considering they were getting an extra £65 off her.

Also worth noting that this is now common practice with lots of insurance companies, just like Budget Esure charge £15 for EVERY amendment to the policy after you've taken it up, so that could be change in car, number plate, adding or removing a named driver or changing address. They are all just out to get what they can.

I went to cancel the insurance on my Mini as it still had nearly 2 months left on it when I sold it, I was advised it would cost me £56 for doing so with Zurich so I just let it run to the end of the term. Madness!
