Exactly what i think. All i care about is that they offer me a big saving and im ending up getting it from a honda dealer with full warranty etc. Basically no different to if i walk down to my local Honda Dealer(apart from the price),

Also quite a few off here have bought there cars from them and have been delighted with the service etc.

This is all well and good but they dont take your part exchange as they reccommend you sell it in exchange and mart!!

The dealer margin is 5.5 % front end plus agenda money back end

If you don't have a part-exchange, it works for me!

Hi Type-S Bournemouth,

I hope to see you in Nov to have a look at the bronze pearl in the showroom here in Cambridge.
Let me know the exact spec you're after, as it seems daft for you to get a car off the internet when us dealers want your business.

look forward to hearing from you, lets see if we can keep you with a dealer.

I am wanting the Type S Diesel GT with sat nav and HFT. Most likely in Nighthawk black but i would like to see the bronze pearl before commiting to black.

Obviously I would prefer to be able to go straight to a main dealer than have to go through the net but at the end of the day its whoever offers the better deal wins. Could you get anywhere near £17980 for this car? Thats including the sat nav and hft. Also that price through drivethedeal includes delivery to my door.

you make a good point about dealers who say they want our business but cant get down to the same price.if they could then it would be ace. i am a bit wary of things like drive the deal as im not 100% sure how they work. XX

Good morning. well, I don't know how they are offering this price, I have contacted Honda and asked if I can offer the same price, they are looking into how this price is being offered. So i'll get back to you as soon as Honda have an answer.

I got my previous car from DrivetheDeal and then went and collected it from the dealer. The car was ready in 2 weeks, I was first registered owner and it was UK car.

I would recommend this approach to anyone as long as you don't need to part Ex. I could have saved over 1.5k on my car at the time but needed to part-ex so had to pay full list

A friend of mine bought his 1.8 S Accord through a broker and apparently (back in 1999), dealers had an 8% margin to play with. The most they would give away was 6% but if you went through the broker they would give away 7 of the 8%, which is why the broker deals are lower. The broker gets 1% per car and the dealer gets more guaranteed sales through the broker.

Whatever price drivethedeal can offer, assuming it IS a genuine price any Honda dealer could match it in principle, it's whether they want to or whether the managers want to etc.

drive the deal prices

Hi all my first post so be gentle with me
My self and partner collected our type s gt cdti last weekend from Lookers in nottingham. it was a pleasure they matched the price from DTD who could not deliver before christmas a vivid blue car the car arrived 3 weeks early. we only waited a month in total. we are first owners had the log book sent before we picked up the car ! We got to lookers via carfile.net I have bought 8 cars via them in last 10 years never had a problem . you just get the same service which depending on the dealer could be good or bad . not one of our local dealers in kent would consider doing any deal and ive never paid full price for a car so I walked out their loss...

Hi there!

And welcome to the forum!

I have also used carfile.net before and found it to be hassle-free. With DTD and brokers and employee car discount schemes there is no reason for anyone to pay list price anymore!

I hope you enjoy your car!
