Resale Value Trade in value??

Hey peeps, i am looking into possibly changing my car for a type s. i currently have a 55 plate(registered 30th jan 2006) galaxy grey 1.8 SE i-vtec 5 door civic (in fab condition) with 10,000 miles on the clock and was wondering if anyone had any idea of trade in value for my car. i would be looking to get the 1.8 type s petrol. Any ideas would be gratefully received. cheers Andrea XX

according to the parkers car valuation guide.. your looking at £11,305 for a private sale. maybe just around/under £10000 for a trade in?

I think in reality you might get a bit more than that - it's still a heavily sought after car, and I bet those prices are based on estimated depreciation, as opposed to genuine sales.

well according to the honda used car bit they are selling my car spec with similar milage for about 14k so hoping to get a bit more than what nick suggested. my other half seems to think it may be bout 11,500-12k for trade in minimum. Going into the dealership to have a word tomorrow anyway. cheers guys X

It also depends on how much discount you get on a 3 Door!

Im in the exactly the same situation as you mate, But mines 1.4SE 06 plate.

Im testing the Civic sport on thursday, when it arrives

, so while testing, they will give me a price on the car, Hopefully Il get around 12K?

It has upgrades such as, image kit, fogs, Alu pedals, tinted window.

nope? Il just take out my system (which should fit nicely in the new Type S) and put the standard Honda wheel back on

My opinion is why change to a 3-door when alot of people mistake the 5-door to be one anyway?

Also, like BG said, the front spoiler is a bit guppyish in side profile. Colour coded on the type R it'll look good. Not so sure about gun metal grey look.

On the other hand, it certainly sounds like an entertaining drive. So, if you're minds are made up then go for it
