Deals can be done!!!!!

Well guys i had my test drive today in a bronze pearl Type S and it was excellent. You can really notice the difference in suspension etc and the colour is ace, for those who havent seen it the best way i can describe it is like coca cola, if you look at it then it looks black but hit some light on it and it goes browny, really really nice!!!!! (The grey trim looks good on the darker colours aswell)

After having a whale of a time on the test drive we sat down to work out the figures.
They offered me 12,500 for mine which i was well happy with and said that for the standard type S (without 18" blades) if i put down a deposit of £350 then my payments would be £304 a month, this is more than i could afford so asked if they could bring it down in anyway.
While the salesman was off chatting to his boss me and Graeme decided to add the 18" blades onto the order (got fog lights thrown in) he then came back to say that in order to get the monthly payments down to what i am paying now then the deposit would be £4010 so we decided to take off the supaguard and gap insurance and to see what else could be done so off he went again to speak to his boss and came back with a £2900 deposit including the blades and £2050 without.

After a few more question we said we would go away and work out finiances etc so as we were making to leave he went off to see his boss AGAIN and came back to say if we put down a deposit of £2000 we could have the fogs and the blades and the monthly payments would still be £257 a month!!!!! how ace is that??!!!!
Sad to say though that finances wont stretch that far so it is going to be a no go for now but its good to know that there are great deals out there to be done!!

Good news, Andrea. Shame you can't go ahead, though. Which dealership did you go to, if you don't mind me asking? Bet you would get b*gger all off at de Vries!!!!

Went to Springfield Honda in Newcastle. the salesman was really nice and got as much sorted for us as possible. its a shame i cant go ahead but dont want to spend anymore money when there is nothing wrong with my car, just cant justify the extra money.

I bought my '98 civic from Springfield Sunderland and couldn't fault them. Nice to know they are still consistent - know where to go next time!

Think I'll probably keep mine for a while though. Can't justify losing all that money!

BTW, I used to travel on the A189 all the time, commuting from Ponteland to Ashington when I worked at Wansbeck.

I'm sure the lads could get a discount too, Andrea had Graeme with her, perhaps his presence influenced the discount

Here, here, Gweneira! You wouldn't mess with my husband! Many a time I've been mistaken for a TPS out with her minder..... think it's because he's so good at carrying all my shopping bags..... not so good at paying though! Tut! Yorkshiremen
