Price Civic 1.7 CTDI SE

Hi All,

I'm looking for a new car, but don't know much about cars at all.

I've seen a Civic 1.7 CTDI se, 2005, 7384 miles for £10,795.

Is that a good deal?, is it a good car?

I think you will find that is not the current Civic which has a 2.2 diesel (and very good it is to)

This site is aimed at owners of the new 2006 Civic. I own a 2003 model (which is almost the same as the model you are looking at).

I personally would not recommend the 'old' Civic diesel, as the engine in it was 'bought in' from Isuzu/General motors who own Vauxhall (honest john notices this from the performance). The new 2006 model is the first Civic to feature a Honda designed and made diesel engine.

Honda are best known for producing reliable cars with good spec and excellent smooth engines, though this only applies to their petrol engines. If you must have a diesel of that age go for a skoda/seat/volkwagen or maybe a Renault.

I would wholeheartedly recommend spending money on a Honda try looking at the 1.6 Vtec of the age you are looking at. Mine is just as sweet as when I got it
